I think I was born with a gypsy spirit and have always been curious about what is out there. I've had some interesting travel experiences. Some absolutely amazing and others on the more questionable side of life. If there is anything I am full of, it's a unique story. I came to a crossroads in life about six years ago. Since then I have taken every opportunity to try to live outside the norm. If you were to ask me what life is I would answer: It's a collection stories. And I want them all. I spent the first few years of this journey exploring on my own. Then Scot dove in head first with me and our plans have only grown bigger and more colorful.
Travel and adventure is huge in our lives. But we also spend a ton of time in the kitchen. Food is everywhere! And life is too short for fast food and meh dining experiences that cost way too much. Especially at Alaska prices. We make an excellent team. I probably do a bit more of the planning, and Scot does more than his share of the cooking, and all of the clean-up (because he is amazing). Cooking in Alaska can have it's challenges. I mean, I live on an Island that is a 9 hour ferry ride from the road system. So selections and prices aren't amazing. And grocery stores rarely exist in bush Alaska.
Sit back and explore with us as we seek the unconventional, find more stories to tell, and experiment in the kitchen.
